Safety
People on Navori create their own plans and decide which ones to join. Meeting someone new is your call. Here is what helps you make it a good one, and what we do on our side.
Before you meet someone
None of this is unique to Navori — it is what anyone sensible does the first time. It is worth saying out loud anyway.
- Meet somewhere public the first time. A café, a park, a busy trailhead. Save the quiet places for later.
- Tell someone where you are going. A friend, a flatmate, anyone. Include when you expect to be back.
- Keep talking in the app until you are comfortable. There is no rush to move to another number or another platform.
- Arrange your own way there and back. Being able to leave whenever you want changes everything.
- If it feels wrong, leave. You do not owe anyone an explanation, and you do not need a reason that would sound good to someone else.
What we do
- Every photo is checked before anyone sees it. Images are screened automatically on upload — profile pictures and anything shared in a chat.
- Serious reports reach a person. Anything involving physical or sexual harm, threats, or stalking is never decided by automation alone.
- Emergency numbers travel with you. The right police, ambulance and fire numbers for the country you are in, available without a signal and without searching for them at the worst moment.
- You see where a link goes. Links shared in chat are shown in full before you open them, with a warning when an address is not what it appears to be.
- Blocking is one tap and takes effect everywhere. Activities, chats and search, all at once. The other person is not told.
If something goes wrong
You can report a message, a photo, an activity or a person from the screen you are on — look for the report option. Tell us what happened in your own words; you do not need to know which rule was broken.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Navori is not an emergency service and cannot respond on your behalf. The app keeps the numbers for the country you are in on the emergency screen.
You can also write to us directly at safety@navori.app. You do not need to report through the app first.
Child safety
Navori is for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, and we publish our standards in full — what we do about it, how to reach us, and where we report.
