These rules apply to every conversation on Navori: activity group chats and direct messages. Navori is an 18+ community. Breaking these rules can lead to messages being removed and temporary or permanent restrictions on your account.
What is never allowed
- Harassment, hate speech, or bullying. Insults, slurs, dogpiling, or making someone feel unsafe for who they are.
- Threats and intimidation. Threatening to hurt anyone, including yourself being used as leverage against others.
- Sexual content. Nudity, sexually explicit messages or photos, and unsolicited sexual advances. "They didn't say no" is not consent.
- Sextortion. Threatening to share intimate images or private information unless someone pays or complies. Report this immediately: it is a priority category.
- Anything involving minors. Navori is for adults only. Content that sexualizes or endangers anyone under 18 is removed and reported to the relevant authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Scams, phishing, and suspicious links. Asking for money, "investment opportunities", fake booking links, or links designed to steal accounts. The app warns you before opening external links: take that warning seriously.
- Spam and unwanted promotion. Chats are for conversation, not advertising.
- Sharing someone's private information (home address, phone number, documents, or photos of them) without their consent.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be someone you are not.
Group chats
- Stay on topic. Activity chats exist to plan and enjoy that activity. Take unrelated conversations elsewhere.
- Hosts and moderators can moderate. They may remove members who disrupt the group. Their reasonable decisions about their own activity stand, as long as they follow these guidelines.
- Photos follow the same rules. Images shared in chat are screened automatically, and explicit content is blocked.
Direct messages
Direct messages have extra protections, because they are one-on-one:
- First contact is a message request. Your first message to someone arrives as a request; until they accept or reply, you can send only limited, text-only messages. Don't try to pressure someone into accepting.
- No means no. If someone declines your request, doesn't respond, or asks you to stop: stop. Repeated unwanted contact is harassment.
- You are in control. You can decline requests silently, delete a conversation for yourself, block, and report. The other person is not notified when you report them.
Protect yourself
- Don't share financial details, passwords, or copies of your documents in any chat: no legitimate traveler needs them.
- Keep conversations in the app. Moving to another platform removes the protections and records that reports rely on.
- If something feels off, trust that feeling: block and report.
Reporting and enforcement
Every message, photo, and profile can be reported from inside the app. Reports are reviewed, urgent categories are prioritized, and confirmed violations lead to penalties up to permanent removal. When you report a conversation, the relevant messages are preserved for review even if they are later deleted.
Meetups have their own set of rules: read the Activity Rules.
