These guidelines apply to every activity on Navori: creating one, hosting one, and taking part in one. Navori is an 18+ community. By using activities you agree to follow these rules; breaking them can lead to content removal and temporary or permanent restrictions on your account.
If you ever feel unsafe, contact local emergency services first. The app includes an emergency numbers screen for the country you are in.
What is never allowed
These apply to activity titles, descriptions, photos, and to what happens at the meetup itself:
- Anyone under 18. Navori is strictly for adults. Activities that involve, target, or endanger minors are removed and reported. See our Child Safety Standards.
- Violence, threats, or stalking. Any activity that promotes or leads to physical or sexual harm, intimidation, or following someone against their will.
- Sexual content. Nudity or sexually explicit material in activity titles, descriptions, or photos. Swimwear in a normal context (a beach meetup photo) is fine; explicit content is not.
- Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination. Activities may not exclude, demean, or target people based on who they are.
- Scams and deception. Fake activities, phishing, pyramid or "investment" schemes, and any meetup whose real purpose is hidden from attendees.
- Impersonation. Pretending to be another person, business, or organization.
- Unlabeled commercial events. Using activities as free advertising, ticket resale, or covert selling. If money is involved, attendees must know exactly what and why before they join.
- Anything illegal in the place where the activity happens.
Hosting an activity
Hosts set the tone. If you create an activity:
- Be accurate. Real location, real time, real plan. People arrange travel around what you write.
- Show up, or cancel early. If plans change, cancel or update the activity in the app so attendees are notified. Repeated no-show hosting harms the people who trusted you.
- Moderate your group. Hosts and moderators can manage members and remove disruptive participants. Keeping the chat and the meetup welcoming is part of hosting.
- Mind the photos. Activity photos must follow the content rules above and must not expose other people's private information.
Joining an activity
- RSVP honestly. Join if you plan to come; leave the activity if you can't, so your spot opens up.
- Respect the host and the group. The host's reasonable rules for their own meetup apply, as long as they follow these guidelines.
- You never have to stay. If a meetup feels wrong, leave. You owe no one an explanation.
Meeting safely
Meetups happen between people who often meet for the first time. A few habits make that much safer:
- Meet in public. Choose well-lit public places with other people around, especially the first time.
- Control your own transportation. Arrive and leave on your own terms so you can go whenever you want.
- Watch your drinks. Keep an eye on your drink and don't accept drinks from people you don't know.
- Keep conversations in the app. In-app chat keeps a record and lets our reporting tools work if something goes wrong.
- Tell someone you trust. Share the activity details and location with a friend or family member before you go.
More on this, including what we do behind the scenes, is on our Safety page.
Reporting and enforcement
Every activity, profile, message, and photo can be reported from inside the app: look for the report option in the three-dot menu. Reports are reviewed, urgent categories are prioritized, and confirmed violations lead to content removal and account penalties, up to permanent removal from Navori. Reports are confidential: the person you report is not told who reported them.
Chat has its own set of rules: read the Chat Rules.
