Navori — Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Our position
Navori is an activity meetup app for adults. It is for people aged 18 and over. Nobody under 18 is allowed to use it.
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out what we do about it, and how to reach us.
Reporting to us
Child safety contact: safety@navori.app
This address is monitored and is the fastest way to reach a person about a child safety concern. You do not need a Navori account to use it, and you do not need to report through the app first.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. The app also lists emergency numbers by country under Settings → Emergency numbers, available without reporting anyone.
In the app. Any message can be reported by holding it and choosing Report. Reports that concern anyone under 18 are routed to a person, never decided by automation.
How we keep under-18s off Navori
Age is collected at sign-up. Every account gives a date of birth during onboarding. Accounts that do not meet the 18+ threshold are not created.
Signals during use. If someone says something that indicates they are under 18, that account is put on hold and a person reviews it.
The trigger is a verified quote, not a guess. A hold is only placed when there is an actual sentence written by that user that indicates they are a minor, and the exact wording is checked on our servers before any action is taken. We do not suspend accounts because a profile photo "looks young" or on the basis of any automated estimate of appearance or age.
Holds are indefinite until a person decides. An age hold is not a timed penalty. It stays until a human reviewer lifts it or confirms it.
We do not ask for identity documents. We do not collect them, we cannot accept them, and the appeal screen says so. Asking a suspected minor to send identity documents or photographs of themselves would create the exact risk we are trying to prevent.
Appeals go to a person. The account holder is shown the exact sentence that triggered the hold and given a direct way to write to us. If we got it wrong, the hold is lifted.
Suspended accounts cannot simply restart. When an account is suspended for being under 18, we keep a one-way signature of its email address so it cannot be recreated immediately. For age holds this signature does not expire.
How we handle CSAE material
Every uploaded photo is checked automatically for explicit content before anyone can see it. Content that fails the check is blocked at upload.
The check runs in two layers. The first runs on the uploader's own device. Photos it judges clean go no further. Photos it flags — and photos it could not process — are sent to an image safety provider, which makes the final decision. The on-device layer can clear a photo, but it can never block one: a rejection, a warning, or a suspension only ever comes from the server. The on-device model is small and trades accuracy for speed, so it is not allowed to act against anyone on its own.
Images are never sent for AI text judgement. When a message is reported, attachments are deliberately excluded from what is sent for automated review. The reviewing system is told an attachment existed and that its content was withheld.
Reports mentioning minors are never auto-dismissed. They are put in front of a person.
Evidence is preserved. When a report is filed, the content is snapshotted and hash-chained so it cannot be silently altered or deleted afterwards — including by the person who posted it, and including if they delete their account. Reported images cannot be deleted by the person who uploaded them.
If we find apparent CSAE material, we remove it, suspend the account, preserve the evidence, and report it to the relevant authorities as required by law.
Our team
People reviewing this material have a defined queue, and every time a report's evidence is opened it is recorded — who opened it, when, and why. Access to reported content is limited to people doing safety review.
Standards we hold ourselves to
- Navori is 18+ and enforced as such.
- No CSAE content, contact, or solicitation of any kind.
- No grooming behaviour, and no attempts to move a minor to another platform.
- Accounts found to be engaged in CSAE are removed, not warned.
- We do not require, request, or store identity documents from anyone, including suspected minors.
